Rundale Palace, Latvia

Rundale Palace is one of Latvia’s most popular tourist attraction. People flock to its ornate palace and gardens to behold one of the country’s most outstanding monuments of Baroque and Rococo art. Hill of Crosses, Lithuania

This is one history steeped in mystery. It is believed that the act of leaving crosses on this sacred pilgrimage site began after an uprising against the Russian government in 1831, when crosses were left on the hill by soldiers’ families. The tradition continued, and the site thus became known as the Hill of Crosses. And though the government tried to put a stop to the movement during Soviet occupation by removing the crosses, the dedication regained momentum after the Lithuanian independence in the early 1990s and has been an important pilgrimage destination ever since. Today, the hill features hundreds of thousands of crosses and rosaries left by pilgrims and general visitors. The exact number of crosses is not known but is estimated to be well over 100,000, making it a striking sight to behold.

Morning is free until flight to Lanzhou, visit the White Pagoda Hill and Five Springs Park.

Today we drive to Xiahe through the scenic Mountain Pass, visit mystical Labrang Monastery.

Board a coach transferred to Urumqi. Upon arrival in Urumqi, city tour then transferred to the airport, fly from Urumqi to Kashagar. Upon arrival in Kashgar, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day12 Kashgar (B/L/D)

After breakfast, head directly to the Great Bazaar,then visit Id Kah Emin Mosque, and the Tomb of the Fragrant Lady.

Day13 Kashgar/Urumqi (B)

In the morning, free time or home visit with a Kashgar family(optional). Fly from Kashgar back to Urumqi. Upon arrival in Urumqi, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day14 Urumqi (B/L/D)

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Nanshan Mountain,  Kazakh family visit and Tianchi Lake (Lake of Heaven), take a boat ride and enjoy breath-taking views of a crystal clear lake.
